My Favorite Scripture Verse †: Romans 6:1-11 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Brother Mark Eisold was born in Coral Gables, baptized in the Keys, and was raised in Lake Worth, Florida (east coast). After living in St. Louis, MO & Clark, NJ for seminary studies, he served in Cabot, AR and Lima, Peru. Seven months ago, he and his family moved to Naples. Married to lovely wife, Sandi, in Gainesville, FL, they are blessed with two children, Annalise (18) and Erik (22). His family is living in a cool, little neighborhood east of the Mel’s Diner on 41. With more than 13 years in the field of mission developing & parish ministry, he is fascinated with spiritual warfare and prayer. He enjoys swimming & fishing at the beach, biking along the coast, working out at the Y, & watching good movies with his family. Mark also attends swim meets with T2 & Naples High School, Naples Energy Group, and English Nights at The Pelican. In his spare time, he loves to smoke cigars & drink smooth whiskey with his buddies. After many years of living like a complacent Christian, The Lord transformed Mark’s outlook & commitment by revealing that his true identity is in Christ through holy baptism. Brother Mark has committed himself to helping others in the community of greater Naples with free English classes, family counseling, and more. The Eisold family attends GRACE Lutheran & the Pelican church. His key to a wonderful life is “Be confident in God’s word. His full forgiveness is YOURS through faith in Jesus. Therefore, live boldly for Him.”
