Friday’s  MEETING IS CANCELED

Hello,<<First Name>> .We hope and pray you and your family are well and continue protecting yourselves. We are canceling our GAP meetings until further notice, with a review of circumstances. How to Stay Calm During the Chinese-virus (AKA, Corona virus) Crisis

Does God Know Our Situation? YES!  Man does not live on bread alone!

GAP Facilitator and Teacher, John Hashek, reminds us in Matthew 4:4 tells us, “It is written, Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”Do you ever feel a hunger that cannot be satisfied no matter how much you eat? Your life is much more than just your physical body. Your heart, your mind, and your soul must be fed in order to be healthy. Also, that in Acts 4:8 “Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people!”

Key Thought
Not only did Jesus pour out the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:32-33), but the Spirit continued to inspire Peter and others to speak the message of God’s grace and truth to the people. We must not underestimate the incredible truth that this simple verse proclaims. Just as God spoke through the prophets in ages gone by, he spoke through Peter and the other apostles to reveal his will, to form his people, and generally to support the apostles’ mission. Peter’s words are God’s words because of the Holy Spirit who inspired them and propelled them into people’s hearts — and continues to do so — to convict them of sin and to call them to God’s grace!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Father, I confess that I do not understand the intricacies of inspiration. But I also confess that I believe that you spoke your truth through human servants because of the work of the Holy Spirit in them. So I ask that you open my heart to know your truth through the Holy Spirit dwelling within me and empower me to live the truth your servants have proclaimed. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

GAP-  GODLY ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS

Iron Men come together Friday mornings at 7:00 for 60 minutes, a 15-30 minute teaching time followed by breakouts in groups of 10-20 men to discuss our week, the teaching, open and close with prayer together.

Jesus, who was the Master Teacher, constantly used the teaching method most suitable for His audience, and a quick search through the scriptures shows that Jesus used a variety of many teaching methods. Included in the different tools Christ used were the scriptures, parables, inspired questions, discussion, logic, object lessons, analogies, preaching, silence, repetition, prophecy, experience, observation and testimony.

Each week, for one hour, participating men will be pared with a handpicked Godly leader with whom they are familiar with, that is well versed in a particular Biblical topic or men’s issue. Your leader will cover today’s tough issues that we face. In confidence together; we will discuss these issues head-on and  you will find honest and frank discussions with, biblical, practical solutions (and pull no punches).

We cannot live a holy life apart from the help of the Holy Spirit for, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

You will be encouraged to find another man (just like you) who knows The Holy Spirit inspired the Word of God and only Christians who are filled with the Spirit can understand the true meaning of God’s Word.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”(Romans 12:2)

At our advanced Bible Study, we ask that you use the Holy Spirit for discernment. The Spirit operates through scripture. Through biblical discernment, you can discover wisdom and direction. Without it, you’ll fail to distinguish God’s purposes and word from your purposes and words. Then again whenever we preach, we need to see what Jesus has to say on any topic. After all, the preacher’s opinion is irrelevant. What really counts is, “what does God say?”  In that light, keep reading your Bible!

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. (1 John 2:27)

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. (John 14:26)

Jesus told his followers, “By this all everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).

Paul reminds us that we believe in a “God of hope” who can “fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

Come Now, Let Us Reason Together!
To imitate Christ, it is essential to ask God for help, through His Spirit, so we can humbly obey God and bring our thoughts, attitudes and actions in line with His. We must allow His Spirit to become the guiding force in our lives to produce the qualities of true Christianity. To be “All In”, we constantly have to ask ourselves whether we are really being led by God’s Spirit or are resisting it.
